Maggie Nelson

Maggie Nelson is a Quaker visual artist, art teacher, and youth worker from Portland, Maine. She works in fibers and 2D narratives, incorporating her spirituality into her art practice to reinforce her belief that art is magic. She pulls a lot of her outlook on life from summer camp and coordinates a Quaker artist residency and gathering called Art Camp in central Maine. Maggie spends most of her time trying to make life more like summer camp, make worship more like artmaking, and artmaking more like worship
