Deus Ex Musica is a collection of professional musicians, pastors, scholars, teachers, and laypeople in the United States. They represent a wide variety of Christian traditions and have three shared goals:
To promote sacred music as a resource for learning, discipleship, and spiritual growth, and in so doing to foster understanding and dialogue between different groups of Christians.
To support the work of contemporary Christian musicians, especially as they work to understand how their faith relates to their artistic vocation.
To support the creation and use of new sacred compositions that contribute to contemporary understandings of Scripture and Christian tradition.
