Anuj Vaidya

Anuj Vaidya is artist, educator, curator, and scholar, who spends life in India, the United States, and other realms not traced on human maps. His work as an artist straddles the cusp of performance and film, and has grown from addressing questions around the constructed nature of gender/sexuality to the constructed nature of nature/culture, coming together in his explorations of queer ecologies. He is currently working on Forest Tales - a queer, sci-fi, eco-feminist retelling of the Ramayana as a Sitayana. Since 2008, Anuj has been coprogrammer/codirector for the 3rd i South Asian Film Festival in San Francisco.
