Bryson White is the last of six children to the union of Paul and Sheila White of Fresno, California and is the husband to the
wonderful Jennifer White of Richmond, California. He is a second-year PhD student in Theology and Ethics at Garrett-
Evangelical Theological Seminary. His research explores the intersection of theology, anti-blackness, and mass
incarceration. Bryson is also a fellow with the Forum for Theological Exploration (FTE).
Prior to his life as PhD student, Bryson was active as a faith based community organizer with the PICO National Network, working on issues such as incarceration reform, gun violence reduction, police accountability, and economic justice. Bryson holds master’s degrees in Theology and Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is accountable to those who live in the liminal spaces of our society.
