Tomi Oredein [pronouns: she/her/hers] is an American African who feels most alive when she lets herself be curious and creative. She explores this in her profession as a divinity school professor and in her work as an artist. Within academia, Tomi focuses on doing theology as creatively as possible and with African diasporic women in heart and mind. Her creative work, whether poetry, creative writing, music, or visual art expresses and interrogates what happens when humanity meets certain moments. Theopoetics invites truth-telling and imagination; Tomi looks forward to pushing the bounds of all it can be.
